Modern...Just Thoroughly Modern!

Thoroughly Modern Milie was released in 1967,
and had a stellar cast, starting with the triumvirate above:
Mary Tyler Moor, Julie Andrews, and Carol Channing.
It was directed by George Roy Hill...who would go on to do
Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, The Sting...and
Slaughterhouse-Five?

John Gavin played Trevor Graydon (the 3rd!)
to Julie's Millie Dillmount...
"Poor Butterfly",
which was one of the many standards included in the score.

Carol Channing played Muzzy Van Hossmere,
that "Jazz Baby!"

 Beatrice Lillie as hotelier/white slaver,
Mrs. Meers, and
Jack Soo and Pat Morita played her henchmen.

The cast, including James Fox (the blond in the back)
who played paper clip salesman Jimmy Smith...
