Playlist For Sunday, Oct. 1, 2023: Fall 4 Julie!

Hot damn! My birthday month! Yes, I celebrate for the entire month of October, and if YOU want to be a part of it, simply sign up (on the attached, non-existent pdf calendar) to take me out to brunch, dinner, theatre, dinner theatre, hot air ballooning, Caribbean cruising, or Great Divide bike touring TODAY. Do it soon, as times ARE filling up quickly.

I'll just take myself out. Order myself a couple of cakes. Have flowers delivered. And buy some new, garish earrings. Voila, natal day done and dusted!

And guess who I share my birthday month with? A classy Libra named Dame Julie. Yup, Julie Andrews, aka Guinevere, Mary Poppins, Eliza D., Victor AND Victoria, Maria Von Trapp, annnnnd Cinderella! October 1 marks her 88th birthday, but if you run into her at Wegman's or at a Bills game, maybe don't mention the 88 part. Like keys on a piano, but make it a celeste (only 56 keys???). Anyhoo, we'll be celebrating her birthday this coming Sunday.

 

Along with that Julie Jubilee, we'll have our usual wacky themes, like Fall songs (because it's now that brrr-ish, swetta weather season), but done the 2 On The Aisle Way (Fall-ing in Love, I'll Never Fall in Love Again...that kind of Fall). Annnnnd a Broadway Book Nook, with libraries and Marian that librarian, and Lauren Bacall (who wrote the book?) in Woman Of The Year.

 

And here's something else to look forward to: My demon, Bellisant (yup, another Libra), will be joining me on the October 15th edition of 2 On The Aisle! B. is coming up to celebrate their 30th and my 39th (how is THAT possible?) and I've twisted their arm adequately to go ON AIR. That's the first Sunday of our Fall Pledge Drive, so you can call up and give your Jazz90.1 donation to them. Well, not directly to them. I didn't mean that. 

 

Nifty birthday present for me, for sure.
