Playlist For Sunday, October 10, 2020: A mark, a yen, a buck, or a pound!

It's fall. And that means the Jazz 90.1 pledge drive, as predictable as pumpkin spice everything and sweatta weatha. Yup, it's here, and this Sunday's show will spend a lot of musical air time requesting (nee begging) for your moola/bitcoin/dinero/dough to help keep the station's coffers chock full. We'll also chock it full of classic Broadway! You know, just to get you in a giving mood, sort of like holiday songs (and hot toddies) at Christmas time, nudging you to shop MORE. See, there IS a method to my madness! See?

Note Money. And pulchritude!

Of course, I'll try to keep the pledging bit to a minimum, or at least jovial and full of anecdotes about my (negligible) Broadway life (hey, I lived on 46th and 8th for 9 whole months! So close!) and make you giggle with cute comments and/or acerbic asides here and there. So don't think it'll be gruel(ing) and weak tea(sing). Nah, we'll get thru it and effing ENJOY IT. Or die trying. :)

NEXT WEEK: It'll be a 2 On The Aisle Birthday Salute. And who's the lucky birthday girl? ME. The big 65 is to be faced on October 18th, so I'm planning a loaded (like poutine, but with extra bacon) playlist of ALLLL (every single one) of my favorite shows and songs. This edition will take about 18 consecutive hours, so be prepared. Like bring your sleeping bag and venison jerky. Rob Linton will probably try to explode me from the studio, but too bad, buddy. It's my party and I'll play Broadway if I want to. Stand back and stand by. In the nicest way possible.

This is all I really need. Hell, maybe just the Reeses. That'd be fine!
