Playlist For Feb. 9, 2020: The Beat Of That Heart!

I was Subaru-ing home last night (Love: It's What Makes A Subaru a Subaru...dumbest line ever) and caught John Tesh dishing out some words of advice (on another radio station, cuz no, we don't have Mr. T. on ours). It was a bit "pablum for the masses"-esque, BUT he was mentioning the healthy take-aways we get from listening to music. Specifically, music we like, and more specifically, JOYOUS music we like. Seems that just listening to that stuff opens our blood vessels, gets the heart tap-dancing, and...drum roll...actually helps us avoid heart attacks. And it does other goodies like help us strengthen our immune systems against bacterial and viral infections. Say wha??? Music, the effectively extra tight face mask? Broadway, the fountain of youth? Hey, I'll believe that!

Old Ponce de Leon searched for it.
He shoulda looked on Broadway!

And (watch this segue-way...) strong hearts and beefy bodies are exactly what we need for a.) upstate winters, b) lying, pieces of crap groundhogs, and c.) Valentine's Day! And this Sunday's 2 On The Aisle will deal with LETTER C. More hearts and flowers (and youthful fountains) than you can shake a box of Whitman's Assorted at.

Pretty, isn't it? Well, that's what I'll be playing...pretty (love songs) from
Broadway (and a smidge of Hollywood), with a minimum of snark and eye-rolling on the part of yours truly. I'll be sipping from the "fountain", munching (see above) and meandering from Darla to Judy to Pearl and back again, and hopefully you will all listen and live longer, lovelier lives because of it. You're welcome!

Hugs and kisses. :)
