Phil and wife Alice Faye...they had a 54 year marriage
and their own radio show.
Phil began as a drummer, eventually became the leader
of his own band, then found himself soloing.
"That's What I Like About the South" was his break out number.
He voiced Baloo, Little John, Thomas O'Malley (the Alley Cat)
and several other Disney characters,
cast by Walt Disney himself after they met at a cocktail party.
Phil supposedly improvised most of this lines in the Disney movies
because they "didn't seem natural."
