Playlist For Sunday, Sept. 6, 2020: Back to Crowing (Not Growing) and Broadway!

Yessssss, I'm back in the Broadway saddle this Sunday! Huzzah and other celebratory noises! Done with that big ass (Michigan) lake cyclopathic saga, 1000 plus miles of it btw, done with friend Carol Peterson. It took us quite a bit of the month of August to bike that very Great Lake, which is a long time to be away from home/cat/bills/life tasks in general, so I'm still picking up the reins, trying not to feel scattered and unfocused, and wasn't life easier when you just had to bike 57 miles and end up at a B&B for a hot (multi-headed) shower, a cushy comforter, and a lovely brunch!?!?

Actual comfy, cozy B&B we stayed at,
and actual lovely (1st course of a) brunch we partook in!
It's a tough life.

Someone who listens loyally to 2 On The Aisle asked me if I took any Broadway tunes to play whilst fording hills and dales on my hybrid. Nope. Nada on the al fresco music playlist! I really can't concentrate on navigating if I have music playing, esp. Broadway (listening to musicals has brought me 1 speeding ticket, in fact. Like Comden and Green, I get carried away). I did sing (mentally) however, and many a chorus of "I Won't Grow Up" and "I Gotta Crow" (the original Mary Martin version of Peter Pan, of course) did keep me pedaling onward (and sometimes upward!).

 This (above)
helped me do
that (below).

But we gotta get back to the business of Entertainment. Annnnnd celebrate a couple of birthdays, cuz cake (and frosting) and parties (and toasts) are always fun (and tasty)! Howard Dietz, Nell Carter, Sid Caesar, and Michael Feinstein get to wear the party hats this Sunday, with sets that spell (H)omage (and (h)ave fun trying to pronounce it). Also a FLOP of major proportions (gotta keep our flop titration levels high), and an oldie goldie corner (I'm a sucker for that scratchy-from-the-past victrola sound). Annnnnd Tootsie. And In The Heights. See, I can be "of this century", too. :)

So come back to Bway at its Bst...saving you a seat, of course!
