Playlist For Sunday, September 9, 2018: Fresh Hell-esh.

Greetings. Happy post-summer. Although as I type this, it is 95 degrees, my cat lies flat as a puddle (albeit a furry one), my garden is in its final death throes, and no one...NO ONE has told the weather that Labor Day is past, it's September dammit, I can't even wear WHITE, and it should cool the F*CK down. So Broadway Insanity will follow on apace...

What Fresh Hell (thank you, Dorothy Parker) are you speaking of, Kim? Broadway Body Parts...oh yeah! Did you know that there are several songs about feet? And hands? None that I can find about shoulders or jawlines, but fingers, faces, elbows, eyes...not a problem at all. Perhaps I should have waited for Halloween, but in fact these selections are anything but gory; they're all connected (the rib bone connected to the ...) in a charming/crazy/ridiculous way and this will be fun! Right???

Jeez. It must be the heat.

On the sane side, we have Mack & Mabel. We have Hamilton and Roar of the Greasepaint. And Babs Streisand (early Babs, when she was only beginning to know she was BABS!). Plenty for those of you who detest my creative motifs and rankle when Damn Yankees' Nathaniel Frey sits side-by-side with Patti LuPone and Carol Channing (benched and definitely out of uniform!). When Mr. Astaire gets Cheeky with Little Me's Dimples, and Lin-Manuel plays footsie with Bernadette. What's not to like?

I'll be saner when the mercury falls (and stops retrograding). When #psl (come on, keep up!) and plaid and all things Fall-ish come into existence. Meanwhile, frickin' nuts. :)
