Playlist For Sunday, March 7, 2021: And no calories at all, on Broadway!

Maybe I just want cake.

Or maybe just the frosting.

Whatever it is, in true Marie Antoinette style, I have fixated on Broadway Birthdays, and the potential for licking the spoon.  Does each one warrant its own CAKE? I mean, we could have 15 different ones, right?

Lonny Price, Ruthie Henshall, Donna Murphy, Raul Julia, Jerry Ross...and LIZA (note the Z) all have birthday's this coming week. The list is insane. All a bunch of Pisces. And I know Pisces, in fact that's my rising sign, and I think that's a pretty perfect sign for STARS in general!

Liza and Poppa Vincent...I love everything BUT the clown.

I'm quoting now: "Pisces personalities are known for being one of the most empathetic of the zodiac signs, and they'll do whatever they can to make sure the people around them are happy. They're also artistic and use their vivid imaginations to think up ideas many others wouldn't." Now doesn't that just sound like a DIVA! :)

So we'll hear a little something from each of these birthday dudes and dudettes (and a LOT of something from Ms. Minnelli) to celebrate. Plus we'll salute the 1,000 year anniversary (hah!) of Starting Here, Starting Now...okay, so maybe you never heard of that one, but it was an off-Broadway gem, and you need to know these shows, okay? Plus Nine, cuz I love Nine (based on 8 1/2 of course, would I lie about these things?) and Nine means more Raul, so there. I also SAW that show, with the original cast, and it has sentimental value, so there again. And Sweet Smell of Success has a birthday, too; almost 20 years old, come March 14. Gotta play that.  In this case, "Success" will smell like butter cream.

John Lithgow baking his OWN cake on the Bake Off!

Well, I have a lot of baking to do, so I'll apron-up and get crackin' on the bundt and the red velvet. My BIG question is WCWLL? (What Cake Would Liza Like?)...she's definitely not vanilla!
