Funfetti Time!

Birthday Lady Number 1: Liza! who turns 75 on March 12th?

Above with Mom...

Things I never knew (but now know!) about Liza:

She was married 4 times. Spouses included Peter Allen and Jack Haley, Jr. (son of Jack Haley, who Mom starred with in The Wizard Of Oz!).

Her godmother was Kay Thompson (of Eloise fame).

Her debut film performance came in 1949, when she was 3...the film? In The Good Old Summertime (with Mom).

And in the 1950s, she guested on Art Linkletter's show, and danced with Gene Kelly on his first variety special, in 1959. OH, and she replaced Julie Andrews on Broadway in Victor/Victoria!

Two more Pisces: John Barrowman, above, who'll turn 53 on March 11th,
and Ruthie Henshall, below, whose natal day is
March 7th, when she'll be 54.

Both Ruthie and John starred in Putting It Together,
the Broadway production of that Sondheim revue back in 1999,
along with Carol Burnett (below with Ruthie) and George Hearn!

Carol, Bronson Pinchot, George, and John mid-toast in Putting It Together.

Donna Murphy's birthday, too? Yup, she'll celebrate 63 years young on
March 7th.
We'll hear her in Passion (where she definitely did NOT wear this red dress)
on Sunday.
"Loving You"

To help us celebrate the birthday of Raul Julia
(which is on March 9th btw),
we'll hear my favorites from Nine, a Maury Yeston goodie from
1982.
Raul starred along with Anita Morris, Liliane Montevecchi, Karen Akers,
Camille Saviola, and Kathi Moss.
A five Tony Award winner, including Best Musical,
Best Score, and Best Direction (Tommy Tune).
Raul was nominated, but lost out to Ben Harney of Dream Girls!
Raul passed away at the age of 54 (back in 1994),
due to stomach cancer and complications brought on by food poisoning.
